Pau Sabria

Co-Founder and CEO

Pau Sabria and his co-founders created the world’s first earned content platform to help brands curate, activate, and analyze consumer photos and videos across all marketing and e-Commerce channels. Based in the company’s New York headquarters, Sabria oversees the company strategy and direction in the marketplace.  He is a graduate of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona with a degree in Telecommunications Engineering, and conducted his thesis in distributed video coding at Purdue University in Indiana. He then joined The Boston Consulting Group, where he worked for three years and co-founded Olapic while completing his MBA at Columbia University in New York City. Sabria is extensively quoted in the media about visual social platforms such as Instagram, the future of e-commerce and how consumer-generated images will impact the way brands interact with customers.

Luis Sanz

Based in Olapic’s New York headquarters, Sanz serves two roles as Chief Operating Officer and as head of technology and product development. Sanz’s deep technical background fueled the development of Olapic’s proprietary predictive algorithm, Photorank™ that analyzes dozens of different aspects of an image to determine its likelihood to trigger a purchase.  Raised in Zaragoza, Spain, Sanz earned a Master’s Degree in electrical engineering from University of Zaragoza, completing a thesis in Active Noise Control using Machine Learning.  Sanz also holds an MBA from Columbia University in New York, where he co-founded Olapic in 2010.  Prior to founding Olapic, Sanz was a consultant for Accenture, working for aerospace/defense projects in Europe and also worked for Ericsson, responsible for all support teams for the Billing Gateway and Service Provisioning departments across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Sanz and his Olapic co-founders have been recognized by the Eugene M. Lang Entrepreneurial Initiative Fund at Columbia Business School and were recipients of the E-cademy Award. Sanz is sought after by media and conferences for his expertise in image recognition and digital imaging technologies.

Jose De Cabo

Based in Olapic’s European headquarters in London, Cabo is spearheading the company’s global expansion. Drawing on his extensive global consulting background, Cabo and his team successfully introduced Olapic’s earned content technology to the European market and have secured client partners including Asos, Desigual, Karen Millen, Pepe Jeans, Selfridges, Tag Heuer and Zalando. Born in Madrid, Cabo holds undergraduate degrees from Dublin City University and ICADE University and an MBA from the Columbia School of Business in New York City, where he and his co-founders received recognition and capital from the Eugene M. Lang Entrepreneurial Initiative Fund. He previously worked as a management consultant at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, leading technology innovation, marketing and sales projects for large, multi-national corporations. Cabo has been featured extensively in the press and is frequently invited to present at trade conferences on the future of e-commerce.

Based in Olapic’s New York headquarters, Rachel Meranus has nearly 20 years experience in B2B marketing within the digital media and technology space. As CMO of Olapic, Rachel leads global revenue marketing and communications strategies, focusing on driving demand from the world’s largest brands and retailers, and growing Olapic’s leadership position within the visual earned content industry. Rachel joined Olapic from her role as CMO of MediaMath, where she helped accelerate the ad tech company’s global growth and maximize value from data, technology, and media partners within its ecosystem. Prior, Rachel transformed PR Newswire’s marketing team into a revenue-generating function through integrated content marketing campaigns and sales alignment. While there, she was honored as a finalist for the Content Marketing Institute’s Content Marketer of the Year Award. Rachel currently resides in Montclair, NJ with her husband, son, and daughter.

Luca Benini

Based in Olapic’s European headquarters in London, Luca Benini is responsible for leading Olapic’s sales and operations across the region. With over 15 years of experience in the digital and technology space, Luca grew his career alongside the first Internet pioneers, having joined Yahoo while the company was still in its infancy and moving from there into a leadership position at comScore. Luca then went on to launch EMEA operations for Buddy Media, a social media management technology organization, and helped lead the company through to its Salesforce acquisition. Before joining Olapic, Luca was the GM EMEA at Socialbakers, supporting the company as it doubled in revenue during his tenure. Luca is a proud father of three, a keen runner, and an aspiring triathlete.

Justin Picciano

SVP - Customer Success

Based in Olapic’s New York Headquarters, Justin Picciano leads our Customer Success team, which is responsible for account management, implementation and support services globally.  Justin has over 20 years of experience, starting with a career in leading large scale client engagements at Accenture.  He then went on to transform support organizations in-house, as well as leading account management and solution sales teams, most recently at Avaya and AppNexus. Justin is a student of golf, rock & roll history, and calls Madison, NJ home, with his wife and two children.
