Millions of people share photos on Twitter everyday. We designed Olapic to connect with Twitter so that our customers could easily collect quality photo and video content from avid Twitter users on their site. Essentially, we are bridging gap between your Twitter-loving users and your site.
With Olapic, you can link your photo galleries to the Twitter account of your choice. Any picture tweeted to your account is automatically collected by Olapic. Then, the picture appears in your moderation queue where you can approve, move it to an specific photo gallery, or simply reject it for publishing. When your users tweet pictures to your gallery the tweeted message serves as the “caption” of the picture and the Twitter handle serves as the “author” of the picture.
Your users receive automatic notifications via twitter when you publish their work on your site and when their photos receive a lot of views.
Not only did we want to make it easier for our customers to collect photos and videos from their community of Twitter followers; we also wanted to make it easier for hardcore Twitter users to tweet their pictures to your site. That’s why we designed Olapic photo galleries to work seamlessly with Twitter hashtags.
You can assign individual hashtags to your galleries so that your users can Tweet pictures to specific photo galleries on your site. For example, any picture Tweeted to your account using the “OWS” hashtag will be automatically added to the “Ocuppy Wall Street” gallery.
This feature is especially useful if you are using Olapic to collect pictures regarding specific events, contests, or categories. If no hashtags are linked to your Olapic account then pictures sent from Twitter will appear in your moderation queue with an undefined gallery. In this case, you are free to assign the picture to a specific gallery of your choice.
Olapic uses a built-in Twitter analyzer to provide you with insights data about the users who use Twitter to share pictures. In our social CRM, you can view the amount of photos a particular user shares over Twitter, on your site, and the overall influence they have as a social photographer. Twitter plus Olapic, an exciting new form of photo management that takes photo sharing to the next level!
