Case Study: American Eagle

American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. is a leading global specialty retailer offering “high-quality, on-trend clothing, accessories, and personal care products at affordable prices.” American Eagle has worked with Olapic since 2013.

The Challenge

American Eagle Outfitters (AEO) has had a large and active brand following online, with fans regularly posting photos to its social channels. AEO was able to measure the impact of individual photos and wanted to increase its influence of repeat contributors to enhance brand engagement. AEO was not only looking at ways to efficiently identify brand ambassadors, but also wanted to utilize the most influential content as part of its seasonal product line launches.

The Solution

In August 2015, AEO started to leverage Olapic’s Ambassador Community, a component of the platform that enables brands to build loyal relationships with consumers who complement the brand’s aesthetics and are most likely to drive engagement. Olapic is able to see the user’s followers and social involvement, as well as revenue they have generated. AEO now features brand ambassadors in its online #AEOStyle gallery.
