Case Study: Jambu Shoes

Established in 2010, the inspiration for Jambu Shoes came from the tropical rain forests where the Jambu fruit flourishes. The brand’s shoes are modeled after the fruit’s magnificent color palette, which also complements the function of its footwear. Jambu encourages its customers to reach higher heights, dig deeper into themselves, and explore further to achieve more in their everyday adventures.

The Challenge

Jambu Shoes was searching for a way to grab its customers’ attention and showcase how its shoes could fit into their lifestyle. The brand also wanted to engage and monetize its loyal customer community, which was already sharing its stylish shoes across social media channels. Additionally, Jambu was seeking a solution that would allow them to better harness the power of authentic, user-generated content.

The Solution

Jambu leveraged Olapic to tap into the visual user-generated, or “earned,” content its customers were already creating. The brand activated earned content on its website, within their emails, and also used this content to serve as a visual review on product detail pages in order to better inform customers’ purchase decisions and enhance the path to purchase.

The Results

Jambu has experienced an incredible volume of photos since launching its partnership with Olapic. The brand uses our rights management tool, which allows brands to activate earned content across all marketing channels. Jambu’s best practice in obtaining rights on every single photo has resulted in an increase in click-through rate on its published photos. Jambu has also utilized Olapic’s Ambassadors tab and has started to reach out to loyal customers who are regularly posting photos of their Jambu shoes.
